Return to the Irish Hills…James Buescher returns to Michigan International Speedway, a track in which he captured one of his two victories in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) during the 2013 season. The victory was a special one for the Bueschers as it was the first race in which their son Stetson attended. Buescher has one previous NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) start at the two-mile D-shaped oval in 2002, where he started fourth and finished in the runner-up position.

What does winning at Michigan last year mean to you?
“Winning that race and having Stetson there probably meant more to me than winning a championship in the Truck Series. It’s one that I’ll never forget — it meant a lot. It was pretty incredible because of the season that we had been having was not going that well and then the first week that I brought my son to the race track turned it around and won that race and then won Iowa a couple weeks later and went on to finish third in the points. It just kind of turned around our season and probably too late in the year to do anything towards the championship, but it still turned around our season and made it a successful one. It was pretty special.”
