Team BCR and Grant Enfinger Finish 8th at Michigan Int’l Speedway

(Brooklyn, MI – June 15, 2014)   After starting 8th for the Corrigan Oil 200 at Michigan Int’l Speedway, Team BCR and Grant Enfinger gained another top-10 finish of 8th in the No. 90 Motor Honey – Advance Auto Parts Ford.

“We had a really good car, making our way up to 5th before the first caution came out,” says Fairhope, AL’s Grant Enfinger.

After an early pit stop on lap 3, The No. 90 Motor Honey/Casite – Advance Auto Parts Ford was sent back out out to 19th. Enfinger then reclaimed the spots lost, making his way back up to 9th. Once the rest of the field came into pit under green flag conditions, Enfinger led one lap of the race, but needed to come back in for a change of four Hoosier tires, Sunoco fuel and adjustments. When the No. 90 was sent back out, the car stalled, losing two laps off the rest of the field.

Grant would once again fight for as many positions as possible and he could only make his way up to the 8th position, where he was the first driver outside of the lead lap, earning him another top-10 finish.

Enfinger said, “I feel that we had a better car than what was shown here. Once the second caution flew, we passed a ton of cars but those were the ones on the lead lap. We just lost too much track position to make up what we lost. I really have to thank Motor Honey, Casite, Advance Auto Parts, Franklin Fastener, Stanley Industries and Wurth for the support at this race. I was hoping we would take home a win for our Michigan based partners.”

The 8th place finish will knock Grant Enfinger off the current points leader position for the 2014 ARCA Racing Series Championship. The 9th race of the 20-race season will take place at Elko Speedway for the Akona 250 presented by Federated Car Care on June 21.

Team Manager and Crew Chief, Howard Bixman said, “We’re not even half way through the season yet. We still have a chance to gain our points leader position back. This team puts so much dedication and effort into what they do and I know Grant has the motivation to capture this Championship.”
