CASSILL 30th IN SUBWAY FIRECRACKER 250
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After a four-race string of good runs, Landon Cassill had a rough night Friday in the Subway Firecracker 250 at Daytona International Speedway, finishing 30th.
Cassill ran in the 30s much of the race. He was penalized early with a pit-road pass-through for push-drafting.
“It wasn’t the kind of result we expect at Daytona,” Cassill said. “But we’ve raced good lately. We’ll bounce back.”
Cassill fell one spot to 11th in the Nationwide Series driver standings.
Kasey Kahne won the race with a last-second charge.
The series races next at New Hampshire Motor Speedway July 12.
