Mike Bliss, No. 19 TriStar Motorsports Camry Pre-Race Report Iowa Speedway

Looking for Redemption in “the American Heartland”: After finishing 22nd this past weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Mike Bliss is looking forward to returning to Iowa Speedway this weekend. In his nine previous starts at the speedway, Bliss has one top-10 finish and has an average starting position of 19.4 and an average finishing position of 17.9. Earlier this season when the Nationwide Series visited the .875-mile track, Bliss was unable to finish the race due to front-end damage after making contact with the wall.

Bliss’s thoughts on Iowa Speedway:  “I’m looking forward to heading back to Iowa this weekend. It’s (Iowa) a great track with even better fans. We experienced some bad luck during the spring event, so I’m hoping we can redeem ourselves and have some success this time around.”

No. 19 Toyota Camry: Crew Chief Paul Clapprood will unload chassis No. 14 for the US Cellular 250. This chassis was last run at Chicagoland Speedway where Bliss brought home a 19th place finish.

Additional Notes:

–       The US Cellular 250 will mark Mike Bliss’ 332nd career start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

–       Mike Bliss, along with his TriStar Motorsports teammates, will be participating in the NASCAR              Nationwide Series Autograph session on Saturday, August 2nd at 2:00PM.
