Edwards on Watkins Glen:
“This is a race that I’ve been looking forward to all year. I love road racing and coming off the win at Sonoma we feel like this is a great opportunity for our team to go get some bonus points and have a little more fun before the Chase starts. It’s a huge weekend for our 99 team driving the Cheez-It Ford with Kellogg’s Cheez-It being the title sponsor of the race. There’s tons of folks there from Kellogg’s and I get to go sign autographs this weekend at Watkins Glen for the fans. Marcos Ambrose and Aric Almirola tested up there. Hopefully they can help us like they did at Sonoma. The Nationwide win at the Glen was huge for me a couple years ago and we’ve been real close there in the Cup Series. I’m just excited to go. It’s a fun race track. The fans are great. It’s a cool area of the country to visit. At the end of the day, if we could get to Victory Lane with the Cheez-It Ford it would be really, really cool to turn all this effort into winning this race for Kellogg’s.”
