MARCOS AMBROSE, No. 09 Stanley Ford Mustang – FINISHED 1st (VICTORY LANE INTERVIEW)
EARLY IN THE RACE YOU HAD CONTACT WITH KYLE BUSCH, WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS AT THAT POINT? “The spotter said he was sticking his nose in and I kind of half closed the door and made contact. I knew it wasn’t over, that is for sure. I gotta thank Nationwide Insurance for a great series, my team RPM, the King, Stanley and Ford Racing. This is a once race deal here. We do one Nationwide race a year and we won it. I am thrilled for the guys. I have a part time crew chief and part time car chief and here we are in victory lane. I had my tongue hanging out all day. I had nothing left. I had to make up all the ground from the spin and Joey was super fast in the middle and I had to hold him back. Kyle really pressed at the end and came alive. Another lap and I would have been in real trouble.”

A CHASE BERTH IS ON THE LINE TOMORROW. WHAT DID YOU LEARN TODAY TO HELP YOU TRY TO GET VICTORY TOMORROW? “I just want to enjoy today. You get to victory lane and it is special. I would love to repeat but it is a lot of work tomorrow. I want to think about this and get a good night’s rest and come attack them tomorrow.”

HOW MUCH EMPHASIS GOES INTO TOMORROW’S RACE FOR YOU? “There is a lot at stake. You are racing for millions of dollars and a spot in the Chase and pride and for the King. There is a lot going on in my mind. I can’t try more than I did today. If I can repeat my performance today with the effort I will be pleased no matter the result.”

BRAD KESELOWSKI, No. 22 Hertz Ford Mustang – FINISHED 4th
“We had a real fast Penske Hertz Mustang. We just came up a little short. I thought we had really good speed and made some runs at it but not enough to clear on the passes that I needed. Whoever got up front looked like they were going to use the clean air to run away and Marcos did a great job with that and we just came up a bit short.”

WHAT DID YOU LEARN FOR TOMORROW IN THE CUP CAR? “It is so difficult to pass and it will be probably even more difficult in the Cup car so we have to find a way to fight through it.”

JOEY LOGANO, No. 12 Snap-On Ford Mustang – FINISHED 3rd
“I wasn’t very good on the long run there and I can hang with Marcos for awhile and was actually faster than him. If I could have gotten clean air I thought I could drive away but by the end of the race he was just faster than me. I started losing the tires through the carousel and he started pulling me a little there. I started abusing the rear tires to try to get my balance back and then I didn’t have a rear tire or front tire and was just hanging on the last few laps. This 12 team doesn’t race many races but they put together a great Snap-On Ford for me today. We were close, a caution or something would have been more fun for me.”
