TriStar Motorsports Post-Race Report Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway

Below are the Post-Race results for TriStar Motorsports for the Virginia 529 College Savings 250:

  

Mike Bliss Finishes 20th: Mike Bliss qualified 18th for the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 on Fridayafternoon. Early into the race, Bliss was quiet on the radio and running in the 21st position. After the first caution, Bliss reported that his Camry was tight in the center and loose off. On lap 60, Bliss was scored in the 21st position and by lap 88, the No. 19 Camry was running 18th. Later in the race Bliss reported that his Camry was rolling through the center better, but he was still having trouble getting on the gas. With 10 laps to go, Bliss was running in the 20th position and would maintain that position to finish the race 20th.

 

Will Kimmel Finishes 25th: Will Kimmel was back behind the wheel of the No. 44 Ingersoll Rand Camry this weekend in Richmond. Kimmel qualified 32nd for Friday night’s race, but due to the team making adjustments after qualifying, the No. 44 Camry started at the tail of the field. By lap 11, Kimmel had advanced 11 positions and was running 29th. By lap 88, Kimmel had worked his way up to the 25th position and by lap 120 he was scored in 22nd. Kimmel was recognized as the biggest mover in the NNS race after advancing 16 positions before the end of the race. Kimmel and the No. 44 Ingersoll Rand Camry finished the race in the 25th position.

 

Hermie Sadler Finishes 27th: Hermie Sadler and the No. 19 Virginia Lottery Camry qualified 33rd for Fridaynight’s 250 lap race. Early into the race, Sadler was finding his groove on the racetrack and running in the 32nd position at lap 50. When the caution came out at lap 73, Sadler came to pit road for four tires, fuel and adjustments. Under caution at lap 100, Sadler and CC Eddie Pardue decided to stay out under caution while they were running 29th. With 26 laps to go, Sadler was running 28th and would advance one position to bring the No. 19 VA Lottery Camry home 27th.

 

Jeff Green Finishes 30th: Back behind the wheel of the No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry this weekend, Jeff Green qualified 24th for Friday night’s race. Early into the race, Green made a great save when two competitors wrecked on lap 2 and got through it without any damage. By lap 20, Green was running 23rdand reporting that his Camry was tight in the center and loose off. On lap 60, Green was running 24th and later in the race Green was involved in an on track accident that sent him to the garage. The No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® crew worked hard to get Green back out on track and once they returned to the track Green felt like the splitter was dragging so the team made an early pit stop for repairs. With 60 laps remaining, Green was scored in the 30th position and would maintain that position to finish the race 30th.
