ADVANCE NOTES

Wallace at Auto Club Speedway

Saturday marks Bubba Wallace’s first NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Auto Club Speedway.

This is the same chassis that Roush Fenway Racing teammate Ryan Reed raced last season at Auto Club Speedway (finishing 17th), Charlotte Motor Speedway (finishing 14th and 15th), Kentucky Speedway (finishing 17th) and Atlanta Motor Speedway (finishing 18th).

Speedway Success

In 23 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at intermediate tracks, ranging from one to two miles in length, Wallace has earned two wins (Gateway Motorsports Park and Homestead-Miami Speedway), one pole, six top-fives and 13 top-10s, while leading 510 laps.

On the Car

The No. 6 Ford Mustang carries the Roush Performance colors this weekend in Fontana.

Roush Performance Parts is a premier supplier and engineering services provider, most known for its line of high performance Mustang powertrain parts, including superchargers, cold air intakes and exhaust kits.  The list goes on to include a full line of wheels, tires, interior, grilles, graphics, service parts, accessories, drivetrain, cooling upgrades and more.  In addition to Mustang, Roush Performance Parts also offers performance upgrade packages for Ford F-150, Superduty and Focus.

Recapping Phoenix

Wallace earned a 15th-place finish in the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Phoenix International Raceway, after three-wide racing with 50 laps remaining dropped him back in the field and left his Ford EcoBoost Mustang with damage.  With the result, Wallace is fifth in the championship standings.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bubba Wallace on racing at Auto Club Speedway:

“I’m excited for this one.  This is a track that I wanted on the Truck schedule. It’s wide open.  It’s fast.  It’s bumpy and has a lot of character.  Places where we run up on top have been pretty good to me.”
