ADVANCE NOTES

Buescher at Auto Club Speedway

Chris Buescher makes his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Auto Club Speedway on Saturday.  In his previous start, coming last season, Buescher started 19th and finished 14th.

This is the same chassis that the No. 60 team raced last season in both races at Phoenix International Raceway (finishing 15th and 12th), Richmond International Raceway (finishing seventh and 10th) and New Hampshire Motor Speedway (finishing fifth).

On the Car

The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Fastenal colors this weekend in Fontana.

Over the past 47 years, Fastenal has grown from a small-town fastener shop, to a thriving regional business, to North America’s largest fastener distributor, to the world’s most efficient supplier of OEM, MRO, and construction products.  Fastenal operates nearly 2,700 stores spanning all 50 states and 20-plus nations.

Recapping Phoenix

For the second consecutive week, Buescher piloted his No. 60 Roush Performance Ford Mustang to a 14th-place finish.  His finish in the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Phoenix International Raceway is his fourth top-15 finish of the 2015 season.

QUOTE WORTHY

Chris Buescher on racing at Auto Club Speedway:

“Fontana loses a lot of grip, it widens out, and it has a lot of different lines.  The seams are very slick.  It has some very noticeable bumps, which I think have gotten very apparent in the last few years.  It will be a tough one, but hopefully just as good as Atlanta for us.”
