MAKE #50 Martinsville Race Preview

Cody Ware returns to his short track roots.

Back On Track…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) returns to the track this weekend in Martinsville, Virginia for the Kroger 250. Cody Ware will make his 1st NCWTS start at the Martinsville Speedway

This Week’s Silverado…The No.50 Burnie and BUBBA Burger team will unload a chassis out of the Rick Ware Racing stable, “T7”. This chassis was last ran by Enrique Contreras at Martinsville and finishing 20th while on the lead lap.

Burnie and Bubba… Burnie Grills is the new all wood, self-burning grill; will be the primary sponsor on the No. 50 Chevrolet Silverado this season. Since Burnie officially launched in January 2015, its sponsorship with MAKE Motorsports marks the first opportunity to strategically partner with a like-minded organization to reach camping enthusiasts. Burnie is the perfect partner with MAKE’s other sponsor, BUBBA Burger, a natural choice for quality and convenience, using only the highest quality ingredients to produce our uniquely shaped, gluten free BUBBA burgers. These two will be shown together as the perfect grilling and tailgating combo using the hastag #BurnieandBubba.

Extra Support…The No. 50 Chevrolet Silverado will sport Lilly Trucking of Virginia’s logo. Lilly Trucking of Virginia, Inc. specializes in reliable transportation of fine machinery and machinery parts for the Paper Industry.

Joining In… Elite Holdings, WIX Filters, AKL Insurance, Beaver Bail Bonds, and Markanda Social Strategies are all associates on the No. 50 Chevrolet.

Watch and Listen… The Kroger 250 can be seen live on Saturday, March 28th on FOX Sports 1. Race coverage will begin at 2 p.m. EST, and the event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Radio, channel 90.

Previous Race Recap…The No. 50 team started the Atlanta Motor Speedway race from 23rd. Running solidly in the top 15-20th positions, Cody Ware had his right rear tire delaminate while going into turn 1 which in turn sent him nose first into the wall. Cody was unhurt but the truck’s damages were to severe to continue.

Cody Ware on Racing at Martinsville Speedway:

“Going to Martinsville Speedway this weekend is going to bring about a whole different mindset for me. Coming to a short track in a truck for the first time has unique set of challenges, one of which is learning to be aggressive and smart at the same time. There is no room for error, if you do screw up anyone and everyone will capitalize on it. I feel like with a strong effort at the track we will thrive in this environment, I grew up racing short tracks such as Bowman Gray and Caraway Speedway, so hopefully we will be able to give BUBBA Burger, Burnie Grills, and Lilly Trucking a good showing this weekend”
