This Week’s Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota at Iowa Speedway:  JJ Yeley will pilot Chassis No. 235 in the Iowa 250 at Iowa Speedway. Yeley raced this chassis earlier this season in Phoenix where he brought it home with a 24th place finish.

Yeley at Iowa Speedway:

JJ will be making his 3rd career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at the Iowa Speedway. He competed in both XFINITY Series events last year at the Newton, Iowa track with both finishes being in the top-20.

JJ’s Thoughts on Iowa:

“This will only be my third visit to Iowa Speedway so I am still learning the track.  We had two decent runs there last year and obviously those experiences will help both driver and team this coming weekend.”

“Iowa Speedway is a fun track to race on and provides some great and fast short track action.  The guys on this JGL Racing team worked hard during the off week and I think we are getting collectively better as a team.  We are coming off the best finish ever for JGL Racing at Talladega two weeks ago and this is a great chance for us to continue to build some positive momentum as we enter the middle part of the race season.”

Crew Chief Corner with Steve Plattenberger:

“Talladega was a great race for this entire JGL Racing team.  We had a great car and JJ did a fantastic job there at the end of the race.  We need to build on this finish and start making them a normal showing for this team.”

“We are going to Iowa with about the same package we ran earlier this year in Bristol.  Unfortunately Bristol ended for us a little early and with a destroyed car – but we hit on something there that we think can translate to the Iowa track. While we will be taking a different car to Iowa we feel that package will give us a pretty strong No. 28 Toyota this weekend.”
