Biffle to Make 450th Career Sprint Cup Start in Coca-Cola 600

CONCORD, N.C. (May 22, 2015) – Greg Biffle will make his 450th career Sprint Cup start in Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600.  Biffle made his Sprint Cup debut in 2002 at California driving for Jack Roush.  Over his 14 years in the series he has earned 19 wins, 88 top-five and 169 top 10 finishes while qualifying for the Chase for the Championship in six of the last seven years.

“It’s kind of amazing how fast the time goes by,” said Biffle.  “I remember my 300th start; we did a deal at Martinsville a few years back.  It seems like it was last year or the year before, but it was 150 starts ago and that is a long time.  It amazes you how fast it goes and I’ve got a lot of great memories, wins, close races and fun times.

“Some highlights that standout for me over the years are finishing second in points, winning four races in Michigan and winning Ford’s 1,000th win on Father’s Day.  My 450th start falls on the perfect weekend, Memorial Weekend for the Coca-Cola 600 while honoring my Mom’s cousin with his name across the windshield of our Ortho Ford.”

The 1,000th win for Ford on Father’s Day in 2013 was one of Biffle’s biggest victories and one of the most memorable since his daughter Emma was able to celebrate with him.  In 2005 Biffle narrowly missed earning the Sprint Cup Championship, finishing second in the standings.

Other career highlights for Biffle include a NASCAR XFINITY Championship in 2002 and a Truck Series Championship in 2000.  Biffle also claimed rookie of the year honors in XFINITY and Trucks in 1998 and 2001.
