GERHART GETS RIDE FOR CHICAGOLAND

JOLIET, Ill. – Veteran driver Bobby Gerhart is making his return to Chicagoland Speedway this weekend as he drives for the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team in Saturday’s Owens Corning AttiCat 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race.

The Pennsylvania driver will pilot the team’s No. 0 Chevrolet as a one-race replacement for Harrison Rhodes, who is moving over to the JD Motorsports No. 4 car for Chicagoland. Gerber Collision & Glass will be a sponsor on the 0 car.

Gerhart has raced in all three NASCAR national series – 24 times in Sprint Cup, 13 in Xfinity and three in Camping World Truck. He also is a veteran of the ARCA series and has raced in Chicagoland ARCA events seven times, with one top 10 finish.

“I’m happy to be joining Johnny’s (team owner Johnny Davis) team for Chicago,” Gerhart said. “I’ve known Johnny and his guys for a long time, and they’re racers. I know we’ll have a good car out there. Looking forward to it.”

Practice for Saturday’s race is scheduled at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying will be held at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 9:30.
