RHODES FINISHES 25th AT CHICAGOLAND

JOLIET, Ill. – Harrison Rhodes brought the Chicago Blackhawks/Gerber Collision & Glass Chevrolet home 25th in Sunday’s Owens Corning AttiCat 300 Xfinity Series race at Chicagoland Speedway.

Rhodes finished on the lead lap as the Gerber-sponsored car honored the championship Chicago Blackhawks hockey team. He was driving for Ross Chastain, who replaced Landon Cassill in the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team’s No. 01 car.

“A pretty good day for us,” Rhodes said. “Any time we can bring the car home in one piece and finish strong on the lead lap, it’s a productive afternoon. We’ll shoot for more next time.”

Rhodes, who qualified 21st, stayed 23rd in Xfinity driver points.

Erik Jones won the race, and Chris Buescher finished fifth, keeping the point lead.

The race was delayed one day by rain.

The series races next at Daytona International Speedway July 4.
