This Week’s No. 28 JGL Racing Toyota at Iowa Speedway:  J.J. Yeley will pilot Chassis No. 222 in the US Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway. This will be the third time Yeley has raced this chassis this year.  Yeley last raced this chassis a few weeks ago in New Hampshire on his way to a 15th-place finish. He also raced the car at Kentucky Speedway where he finished 18th after starting from the pole with qualifying being rained out and the field set by practice speeds.

Yeley at Iowa Speedway:

J.J. will be making his fourth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Iowa Speedway. Earlier this year, Yeley was knocking on the door to the top-10 before getting caught up in an accident that ended his day and relegated him to a disappointing 34th-place finish.

Double Duty:

Yeley will be performing “Double Duty” this weekend as he competes in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Pocono Raceway and the NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Iowa Speedway.  TJ Bell will practice the No. 28 Toyota on Friday for the two practices at Iowa Speedway while Yeley is in Pocono for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice and qualifying.

J.J.’s Thoughts on Iowa:

“We have had some solid runs at Iowa and I am excited about this weekend.  I will miss the two practice sessions on Friday but I am confident in the job TJ Bell will do for me in getting our No. 28 Toyota dialed in.”

“We had a really strong car in the first Iowa race back in May and that has expectations kind of high this week.  We have really began to click as a team here in the last month or so and coming back a second time to a place where we were fast earlier in the year will be fun.  I know we will have our work cut out for us with me missing practice time on Friday but this shows the confidence we have in each other with this JGL Racing team and I am looking forward to a strong race Saturday night.”

Home Sweet Home:

The JGL Racing team will call the Holiday Inn Des Moines – Airport & Conference Center home this week during their stay in the area.  The hotel logo will also be displayed on the No. 28 Toyota driven by JJ Yeley.  Situated close to area treasures, such as Drake University, and adjacent to the Des Moines Airport, this hotel provides a prime location in the midst of the best the city offers. With added perks like a tropical courtyard, our property provides a unique and comfortable atmosphere for business and leisure travelers alike.
