WATKINS GLEN WELCOMES CHASTAIN

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. – In a year of many firsts, Ross Chastain will record another this weekend.

Chastain is scheduled to race for the first time on the Watkins Glen International road course, competing in Saturday’s Zippo 200 at the Glen, the 20th race of the Xfinity Series season.
“Everybody who knows anything about any form of racing knows about Watkins Glen,” Chastain said. “I’ve read and heard so much about it. I’m looking forward to getting there and getting on the track myself and experiencing the challenge.”The race is the first of three scheduled Xfinity road-course events this season. Xfinity drivers also will race at Mid-Ohio and Road America.

Practice is scheduled at the Glen at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 11:15 a.m., with the race to follow at 3 p.m.
