CHASTAIN TAKES MOMENTUM TO MID-OHIO

LEXINGTON, Ohio – Ross Chastain hopes to build on last week’s solid run at Watkins Glen International as he races for the second straight week on a road course in Saturday’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Chastain turned in one of his best performances of the Xfinity season last week, racing with the lead group and finishing 17th on the lead lap at Watkins Glen in his first race there.

He debuts at another track – Mid-Ohio – this week.

“We ran very well last week, and I’m ready to go ‘on the road’ again this week,” Chastain said. “It’s a new place for me, but we should be OK after a couple of practice rounds. I’m ready to shoot for another good day.”
Chastain is 14th in Xfinity driver points entering the race.

Mid-Ohio practice rounds are scheduled at 1:30 and 3 p.m. (ET) Friday, with qualifying set for 11:15 a.m. Saturday. The race will follow at 3:30 p.m.
