Ryan Truex Hopes for Immediate-Track Success in Blue Grass State

Truex to Make first XFINITY start at Kentucky

Ryan Truex will make his second start of the 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series season this weekend at Kentucky Speedway. In his first start of the season at Richmond, Truex had a strong run ruined by a blown tire. Even though the race ended early for the No. 98 Biagi DenBeste team, the car had great speed all evening. They’ll carry high hopes into Kentucky as Truex makes his first start at the track driving an XFINITY Series car. Truex has had prior success at one-and-a-half-mile, D-shaped ovals. The team hopes for success at Kentucky to create a notebook and momentum for their third start together in a few weeks at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Truex has just one start at Kentucky Speedway, coming from a Sprint Cup race in 2014. As an organization, Biagi DenBeste Racing has made seven XFINITY Series starts at the track, with three Top-15 finishes.

Truex Weekend Chatter

“I’m very excited to be back racing again. Richmond is one of my favorite tracks. It’s one of those tracks I picked up on right away and had early success. It takes a lot of finesse and patience, and I’ve been fortunate to be able to learn a lot from the veterans of our sport. The key is to stay out of trouble and keep our mistakes to a minimum. If we can do that all night, we’ll have a great finish.”
