ADVANCE NOTES

Buescher at Dover International Speedway

Chris Buescher will make his fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Dover International Speedway this weekend.  Earlier this season, Buescher led 10 laps en route to victory.  The Prosper, Texas native has not started lower than eighth or finished lower than 11th in his three starts.

On the Car

The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Lilly Diabetes colors this weekend at Dover International Speedway.

About Lilly Diabetes

Lilly has been a global leader in diabetes care since 1923, when we introduced the world’s first commercial insulin. Today we are building upon this heritage by working to meet the diverse needs of people with diabetes and those who care for them. Through research and collaboration, a broad and growing product portfolio and a continued determination to provide real solutions—from medicines to support programs and more—we strive to make life better for all those affected by diabetes around the world. For more information, visit www.lillydiabetes.com or follow us on Twitter: @LillyDiabetes.

Pre-Race Checklist

Buescher and teammate Ryan Reed will both sport Lilly Diabetes paint schemes this weekend at Dover.  Reed, who lives with diabetes, must go through some extra steps to prepare for the race while managing his diabetes. To recognize how individuals living with diabetes manage their diabetes differently, the two drivers detail how managing their pre-race routines differ as well.  Reed and Buescher compare their pre-race checklists here.

Recapping Kentucky Speedway

For the second weekend in a row, Buescher earned a seventh-place finish, crossing the line in the top-10 at Kentucky Speedway in his No. 60 AdvoCare Ford Mustang.  With his 17th top-10 finish of the season, Buescher maintained the lead in the NASCAR XFINITY Series point standings.

QUOTE WORTHY

Chris Buescher on racing at Dover International Speedway:

“I am excited to get back to Dover where we got our last win.  I really like this race track and know that it will be a good opportunity for us to get another win in our Lilly Diabetes Mustang and gain some points.”
