CASSILL READY FOR CMS

CONCORD, N.C. – Landon Cassill hopes to improve on his May showing at Charlotte Motor Speedway Friday as the Xfinity Series returns to its “home” track for the Drive For The Cure 300.

Cassill finished 17th in the series’ first visit to CMS this year.

“Everybody wants to run good at Charlotte because so much of NASCAR is focused there,” Cassill said. “We had a pretty good car back in May, but we’re looking to do better this go-round.”

Cassill, who will be driving the Flex Seal Chevrolet this weekend, has raced 16 times at CMS – 10 in Sprint Cup, five in Xfinity and once in Camping World Trucks. He finished ninth in a Truck race at the track in 2008.

Practice is scheduled at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. (ET) Thursday, with qualifying set for 4:45 p.m. Friday. The race will follow at 8 p.m.

Five races remain on the Xfinity schedule.
