ADVANCE NOTES

Wallace at Texas Motor Speedway

Bubba Wallace will make his second start at Texas Motor Speedway in the NASCAR XFINITY Series on Saturday afternoon.  In his first start at the 1.5-mile track earlier this season, Wallace started eighth, led three laps, and finished sixth.

In four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at Texas Motor Speedway, Wallace has a best start of seventh (June 2014) and a best finish of sixth (June 2013).  In addition, Wallace led 51 laps at the 1.5-mile track in the Truck Series.

On the Car

The No. 6 Ford Mustang carries the Fastenal colors this weekend in Texas.

Over the past 47 years, Fastenal has grown from a small-town fastener shop, to a thriving regional business, to North America’s largest fastener distributor, to the world’s most efficient supplier of OEM, MRO, and construction products.  Fastenal operates nearly 2,700 stores spanning all 50 states and 20-plus nations.

Recapping Kansas Speedway

Bubba Wallace, driver of the No. 6 Ford EcoBoost Mustang, earned an 11th-place in the NASCAR XFINITY Series event at Kansas Speedway after starting the race in a back up car.

QUOTE WORTHY

Bubba Wallace on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:

“It was nice to have some time off after the long summer stretch of racing, but I am ready to get going again in our Fastenal Ford.  We had a great car at Texas earlier this year, and I’m looking forward to building on that.  We’ve got three races to close out this season.  I’d love to get a trophy and end the year building momentum for next season.”
