PREECE READY FOR FONTANA

FONTANA, Calif. – Ryan Preece hopes to continue the fine start to his Xfinity Series rookie season in Saturday’s TreatMyClot.com 300 at Auto Club Speedway.

In the past three races, Preece has finished 22nd, 18th and 21st. He has climbed to 17th in the series point standings.

“I think, all things considered, we’ve had a really good start to the year,” said Preece, who will drive the UPTick Vineyards No. 01 Chevrolet Saturday. “I’ve gotten a lot of seat time, and I feel like we’ve gotten better every time out. Looking forward to a good run at a new track.”

Xfinity practice is scheduled at 3 p.m. (ET) and 5:30 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 12:15 p.m., with the race to follow at 4 p.m.
