For the second weekend in a row, rain wreaked havoc on a NASCAR Sprint Cup race weekend. Unfortunately this time around the race was delayed from a Saturday night race to a Sunday afternoon event. Biffle started the race 32nd and searched for grip in his No. 16 Ford over the course of 400 laps. In his search, Biffle went two laps down to the leaders, but made a rebound towards the end to be the first car two laps down. Biffle was scored 21st when the checkered flag fell.

Local Ties

DeWayne Zirkle, better known in the garage area as Ryder and hauler driver for the No. 16, is originally from Roanoke, Va.

Bryan Goodman, the engine tuner on the No. 16 Ford Fusion, is originally from Midlothian, Va.

Biffle on Richmond:
“I’m really looking forward to Richmond. We had a pretty good test there not long ago. I feel good about the run we just had at Bristol, the way our cars are turning better and we have more speed in them. Richmond being a day race versus night, I think that plays into our hands a little bit, with a little bit slower speeds during the day. I’m looking forward to another top-10 finish.”
