40th Landon Cassill

JOEY LOGANO, No. 21 Shell Pennzoil Ford Fusion – Qualified 7th
“We missed it in 2 and the bus stop. Our car just didn’t do what I expected and then I made a mistake because of it. I don’t know that it was necessarily the green race track as much as it was just understanding road course qualifying a little better with this tire. The tire threw us for the biggest loop. We were expecting something different.”

WHERE DO YOU FEEL YOUR FUSION IS FOR THE RACE TOMORROW? “Good, it is really good. I am happy where it is for the race tomorrow and we started a lot further back last year and we were able to get the win, so I am encouraged by that.”

BRAD KESELOWSKI, No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion – Qualified 12th
“We were just really loose out there. We were very loose on a track that has very poor grip. We probably didn’t do the best job managing that today. I think the green track affected that pretty dramatically. The speeds were way down out there today and it is easy to see that the track and tire just don’t mix very well right now.”

RICKY STENHOUSE JR., No. 17 Fastenal Ford Fusion – Qualified 30th
“We didn’t have a clean lap. We got in the way of the 78 there on his lap thinking that he was done and then so he in turn returned the favor. Which I expected, it is nothing on him. We just did a bad job at qualifying there today. We were not able to get our stuff done as quick as we could.”

RYAN BLANEY, No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion – Qualified 19th
WHAT WERE YOU AND JEREMY BULLINS DISCUSSING THERE? “How much I suck, pretty much. I am bad turns one through 11. I have to figure something out. My teammates are fast as can be and I am sitting in the 20’s. I have to go back and look at some stuff and hopefully we can get with it in the race tomorrow.”

DO YOU JUST NEED MORE TIME ON ROAD COURSES? “I hope so. I hope that is all it is. Experience doesn’t hurt but I feel like I should be able to pick things up faster than this. Oh well. We will put our heads together and I will figure out what I can be better at and try to get the car a little better too and we will see where we are at.”
