Stenhouse Jr. at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Stenhouse Jr. has seven NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway with an average starting position of 23.3 and average finishing position of 20.9.

Earlier This Year at New Hampshire

After going a lap down due to a long green flag run, the Olive Branch, Miss. native took the wave around to get back on the lead lap in hopes of a quick caution before he needed to pit for fuel. The much needed caution came with less than 40 laps remaining allowing Stenhouse to come to pit-road for four fresh Goodyear tires and fuel. After a flurry of late race cautions, the 2013 NSCS Rookie of the Year worked his way up inside the top-10 for the closing laps where he remained taking the checkered flag in the 10th position.

Chris Church, a diehard Boston Red Sox fan, grew up in Haverhill, MA, which is a little over an hour from NHMS.

On the Car

Fastenal is currently in its fifth season as a primary partner in the NSCS for Roush Fenway. They spent three years on the No. 99 before jumping over to the No. 17 entry, and were the primary partner on the No. 60 XFINITY team that captured the owner’s championship in 2011.

Stenhouse Jr. on racing at New Hampshire:

“We’ve had some success at New Hampshire in the past. We always look forward to racing at Fenway Sports Group’s home track. New Hampshire is a fast one-mile track with multiple grooves. We had a top-10 finish earlier this year so I look for another solid run in our Fastenal Ford this weekend.”

Sandler on racing at New Hampshire:

“Our short track program has definitely improved this season. Earlier this year, we were able to earn a top-10 finish so we are looking to better that this time around. Track position is crucial so we will focus on qualifying on Friday. We’ve seemed to have some bad luck at Loudon in the past but I think if we can execute on pit-road and stay up front then we should leave New Hampshire with another strong run.”
