Armstrong at Phoenix International Raceway:
Dakoda will be making his sixth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Phoenix International Raceway to go along with one Camping World Truck Series start at the track. Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 18th at the Phoenix track which he has done four times including earlier this Spring.

Dakoda’s Thoughts on Phoenix International Raceway:
“Phoenix is a track that I really have grown to like.  It is a very difficult track to get a hold of your handling at.  It is a flat track with very different corners so it is important to find a compromising balance on the handling of your car.  You need your car to turn really well in the corners but not get loose at the same time.”

“After an issue in qualifying forced us to start from the rear of the field in the Spring – our No. 28 Toyota was pretty strong in the race.  I have some high expectations this weekend and am looking for a strong finish.”

Texas Rewind:
After a much needed two week break in the NASCAR XFINITY Series schedule, Dakoda Armstrong and his JGL Racing team returned to action as the series enters the last three races of the 2016 season.  Armstrong would pilot his No. 28 WinField Toyota to a 20th place finish in the running of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge on the 1.5-mile layout of the Texas Motor Speedway.

2016 Stats:
Starts:   31
Avg. Starting Position:   20.9
Avg. Finishing Position: 19.3
Best Finish:   5th (Iowa – July)
Points Standing:   13th
