Watkins Glen International to host Victory Laps, benefiting the RACE Foundation

Online tickets are on sale to drive three laps around the historic road course

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (Sept. 3, 2020) – Fans will get the exclusive opportunity to drive three laps at The Glen in 2020 as Watkins Glen International will host Victory Laps presented by Stoner Car Care, September 25-27.

The laps will be held 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission is just $25 per vehicle as attendees can experience the twists and turns of the full 3.45-mile Grand Prix road course for three paced laps from the driver’s seat of their own vehicles behind an official WGI pace vehicle.

“We knew we wanted to find some way to provide our fans and the community an unforgettable experience at WGI in 2020,” Watkins Glen International President Michael Printup said. “The idea of the Victory Laps is a great way for everyone to still enjoy the ‘Best NASCAR Track’ while being safe, socially distant and raising money for a good cause.”

A portion of the proceeds will benefit WGI’s R.A.C.E. Foundation, which supports local community organizations of the Southern Tier as well has healthcare heroes of the Upstate New York area during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets are available for advance purchase online only at TheGlen.com/RACE.

‘Stoner Car Care has enjoyed a long, successful history with Watkins Glen, both in racing our car and sponsorship at the track,” Stoner, Inc. President Rob Ecklin Jr. said. “We are pleased to be part of Victory Laps weekend in support of RACE Foundation.”
