Meyer Shank Racing Features Canadian Rock Band The Tragically Hip for Toronto

SiriusXM’s The Tragically Hip Radio will be featured on David Malukas’ No. 66 SiriusXM Honda

Pataskala, Ohio (16 July 2024) – Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) and SiriusXM continue their collaborative effort to feature and bring artists to NTT INDYCAR SERIES races. With the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto set for this weekend, MSR and SiriusXM Canada are excited to welcome Canadian rock band, The Tragically Hip on the No. 66 SiriusXM Honda this weekend.

The special feature is the fourth collaboration so far this season between MSR and SiriusXM and the team is excited to extend it across borders with SiriusXM Canada for the Toronto INDYCAR weekend.

David Malukas’ No. 66 SiriusXM Honda will have a whole new look for the Toronto INDYCAR weekend. Featuring black, red and white colors, the livery pays homage to The Tragically Hip Radio (SiriusXM channel 757).

The Tragically Hip are a critically acclaimed rock band that has been a fixture in Canadian music for over 30 years and are beloved by fans across the country and the world. They’ve won 17 Juno awards and sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.

Band members Paul Langlois, Rob Baker, Gord Sinclair and Johnny Fay will attend the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto this weekend to see the No. 66 MSR machine up close and personal in addition to meeting several of SiriusXM’s guests attending the race weekend.

“It’s really cool to see how this program has evolved this year and to be able to expand it into Canada and working with SiriusXM Canada has been awesome,” said MSR co-owner Mike Shank. “It will be great to have the band with us both Saturday and Sunday to see the car – which is a totally different look for us!”

The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto is set for Sunday, July 21st at 1:30pm ET with live broadcast coverage on Peacock TV and SiriusXM INDYCAR Nation (ch. 218).
