200 LAPS, 300 MILES

This Week’s No. 28 JGL Racing Toyota at Chicagoland Speedway:  J.J. Yeley will pilot Chassis No. 235 in the Furious 7 300 at Chicagoland Speedway. This will be the sixth time that Yeley has raced this chassis in the 2015 season.  He last raced it a few weeks ago at Darlington Raceway where it featured the “Gray Ghost” throwback scheme on its way to a 16th-place finish.

Yeley at Chicagoland:
J.J. will be making his 11th career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at the Chicagoland Speedway to go along with five previous starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at the track.  Yeley has six Top-20 finishes in XFINITY Series competition at Chicagoland with a best finish being a 10th-place effort in 2006.

J.J. finished 16th in the summer race earlier this year for JGL Racing at Chicagoland Speedway.

Horsepower Change:
For just the fourth week, Yeley and his JGL Racing team roll into Chicagoland with the new addition of Joe Gibbs Racing Engines to their No. 28 Toyota.   In their continued effort to become a top team in the sport, JGL Racing will campaign the JGR horsepower for the remainder of the 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series season.

J.J.’s Thoughts on Chicagoland:
“Chicagoland has been one of my most favorite tracks ever since I raced there in an 2004 XFINITY Series race for the first time.  Its just a really fun race track.  You are in the gas a lot and it has some unique character to it such as the backstretch having an arc to it which makes it different from other 1.5-mile tracks.    I just feel very comfortable racing at Chicagoland Speedway.”

“We had a decent run earlier this year at Chicagoland and all of us at JGL Racing have higher expectations this coming weekend. With our horsepower change to JGR Engines, tracks like Chicagoland will show a big difference for us.  We saw that at Darlington and it should be even more noticeable this week.  The added horsepower makes our handling package a little different but Steven Lane (crew chief) and the guys will get our No. 28 Toyota dialed in and we look for a strong performance on Saturday night.”
