ADVANCE NOTES

Sadler at Kentucky

Elliott Sadler will make his ninth NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Kentucky Speedway this Saturday night in Sparta, Ky. In Sadler’s eight previous starts at Kentucky, he has four top-five and six top-10 finishes. Earlier this year, Sadler started 11th and finished fifth.

Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race

Sadler finished eighth this past Saturday night in the NXS race at Chicagoland Speedway. The No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang qualified 19th, but NASCAR issued a post-qualifying penalty to the team and Sadler had to start dead last. In the first 10 laps of the race, Sadler passed 19 cars and worked his way up to 21st. Sadler continued his march to the front and methodically worked his way through the field throughout the middle stages of the race. In the closing 10 laps, the No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang passed four cars and Sadler crossed the finish line in the eighth position.

2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Point Standings

Following the NXS race at Chicagoland, Sadler remains in fifth place in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After 26 races, Sadler is now 106 points behind the leader.

QUOTE WORTHY

“We’re coming off a great top-10 finish last week at Chicagoland and with only seven races remaining in the season, we want to keep the good mojo going this Saturday night at Kentucky Speedway. Earlier this year we brought home a top-five finish at Kentucky. The key to Kentucky is the bumps. Teams who succeed at Kentucky, are those who have the best race trim packages to handle the bumpy race track. Hopefully our notes from earlier this year will give us a head up on the competition and our No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang can bring home another strong finish.”
