TJ Bell No. 50 BanditChippers.com Toyota Sprint Showdown Post-Race Report

In his first-ever NASCAR Sprint Showdown, TJ Bell drove the No. 50 BanditChippers Toyota Camry to a finish of 18th after starting 21st.

CONCORD, N.C. – In his first-ever NASCAR Sprint Showdown, TJ Bell drove the No. 50 BanditChippers Toyota Camry to a finish of 18th after starting 21st. While he didn’t have a shot at winning the race and moving on to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series All-Star Race, the Nevada native learned a lot for next Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600. Bell and LTD Powersport will attempt for the series’ longest race in the same car he raced in Saturday night. So while he felt his finish could definitely have been better, Bell chose to look at the bigger picture. “It obviously wasn’t as good as we wanted,” he said. “Yeah, we picked up positions and ran good and passed cars, but people knew we were there. That was the best thing.

“It’s one of those things were you have to be cautiously aggressive with the racecar because that’s our (Coca-Cola) 600 racecar. I didn’t want to drive into a wreck and destroy a good racecar for no reason. We learned a lot and we’re going to take all of that into the 600.” Bandit Industries was on the car once again and Bell and his LTD Powersport team had the privilege of showing their sponsors what the All-Star Race is all about. “It was probably the most electrifying thing I’ve ever done! It was great having all the people from Bandit Industries there to take it all in and enjoy it and see everything that is involved with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series All-Star Race. It was pretty cool.”

Also represented on the No. 50 Toyota was the Megan Meier Foundation (www.MeganMeierFoundation.org), a St. Louis-area organization founded by Tina Meier when her daughter, Megan, committed suicide as a result of bullying and harassment through a popular social media Web site. The Megan Meier Foundation will also be on the car for the Coca-Cola 600 May 29 with Tina Meier in attendance. For more information on Bandit Industries, visit them on the Web at BanditChippers.com, on Facebook at Facebook.com/BanditIndustries, or on Twitter at Twitter.com/BanditChippers.For more information on HighSide Media, its programs, and its clients, visit HighSideMedia.com.
