PREECE TACKLES MIS

BROOKLYN, Mich. – The Xfinity Series rolls into Michigan International Speedway this weekend for its only visit this season to the two-mile track in the Irish Hills.

Ryan Preece will drive the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 01 Chevrolet in Saturday’s Menards 250, the 13th race of the Xfinity season.

It’s another new track for the rookie driver.

“Fast and furious, that’s what I know about Michigan,” Preece said. “It looks like you can run pretty much any lane there, depending on how your car is hooked up. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do there.”

Preece sits 18th in Xfinity driver points entering Saturday’s race.

Practice is scheduled at MIS at 12:30 p.m. (ET) and 3 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 1:30.
