Brian Scott Looking for a ‘Monster’ Finish in Dover

ACME, Shore Lodge to Adorn Hood of No. 44 Ford Fusion

With just eight races left in the 2016 Sprint Cup Series season, Brian Scott and the No. 44 ACME team are looking to finish on a high note. The team heads to the second race of the season at Dover International Speedway this weekend, ready to tackle the “Monster” of the one-mile concrete oval. Scott knows success at Dover, where he won his first career NASCAR race in the Camping World Truck Series in 2009.

Scott is definitely looking for a better finish from the spring race, where a broken shock mount in the No. 44 ACME Ford forced a 24th-place finish. In 12 starts in the XFINITY Series at Dover International Speedway, Scott has one Top-Five finish (third in the Spring 2012 race), and five Top-10 finishes. Scott also has a win in the Camping World Truck Series at Dover from 2009, after starting third.
ACME Markets will join Shore Lodge on the hood of the No. 44 Ford Fusion for Scott this weekend, adding to the list of Albertsons Companies banner stores represented this season. ACME Markets has been servicing customers in the Northeast for more than 125 years and currently operates 110 stores throughout Philadelphia, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware.

Fans will be able to see Scott at “The Hangout” hospitality area at Dover International Speedway this weekend, where he will participate in a moderated Q&A session. Fans can access “The Hangout” with a ticket purchase for $139, which includes food and drink offerings, a $25 FanVision coupon, a race program, outdoor tailgate-style games, charging stations, and a Trackside Access pass.

The Hangout Appearance

Where: The Hangout, Dover International Speedway
When: Sunday, October 2 from 10:55 – 11:10 a.m.
“Dover is definitely a fun place; you get different sensations at Dover than you do anywhere else. You definitely feel like you fall into the corner, then you really load up where you really get flung into it, like you’re hitting a corkscrew on a roller coaster. Then, you feel like you jump and pop out of the corner, and you’re only calm for about a second. Then, you’re falling and driving into another corner. It’s one of my favorite tracks and so unique and different. It’s concrete, high-banked and a true oval – truly like nowhere else we race at. We had some bad luck in the spring with the broken shock mount, but I really like racing at Dover and I’m looking forward to getting back there and getting a top finish.”
