NASCAR Nationwide Series

BRAD KESELOWSKI (No. 22 Ruby Tuesday Dodge Challenger) Finished 8th

“There was a lot of action today. This NASCAR racing, you have to love it. We needed just a little more speed on the long runs. We got up there and took the lead with 50 or 60 to go, I don’t remember exactly how many laps were left, but the car fell off really bad and we got passed by a few cars and dropped back to seventh. The yellow came out and we thought it would be a good idea to come in for tires. I just made a mistake coming up through traffic and spun out (racing Trevor Bayne). That’s the way it goes. The Ruby Tuesday Dodge was a top-five car, so we came up a little short.

“I remember a few years ago when I ran somebody really, really hard in a Nationwide race. It was Greg Biffle. He was a Cup veteran at the time and I was a Nationwide rookie. He had to make the choice of wrecking me or wrecking himself. He took himself out. I respect that to this day. I guess it’s kind of a Cup guy’s job to look out for the (Nationwide) regulars and not take them out. It was my turn today to give back a little I guess. It’s unfortunately for my team, but you’ve got to pay in a little bit sometimes I guess.”
