The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has only visited two tracks thus far in 2011 which are longer than 1.5 miles in length. At the season opener at Daytona International Speedway Paludo scored an impressive fourth-place finish recording his first of two top-fives thus far in 2011. The rain won out and the race was postponed until the following morning. Paludo and the No. 7 team had sustained rear-end damage as a result of contact with another competitor on a restart. Although the team was able to patch the damage somewhat, Paludo continued to fight an ill-handling truck throughout the remainder of the event. Paludo recorded a 19th-place finish during his first run at Pocono Raceway.

Miguel Paludo Talks about Michigan International Speedway:
What are your thoughts about Michigan International Speedway? Have you spoken with your teammate Timothy Peters to get some insight as to what the track will be like?
“I have spoken to Timothy and everyone at Red Horse Racing to see what the track will be like. They all have different opinions about the track, but they all agree it is fast. I am looking forward to going to Michigan because I think it will drive a lot like Daytona with the drafting aspect. I know it is a really fast track that has multiple grooves. I have watched some tape of past races and it will be another challenge but I’m ready to go back racing and finish out the 2011 season strong.”
Are you on baby watch? Is there a plan if Patricia goes into labor while you are at the race track?
“We are still on baby watch. The plan is for me to stay at the track and race. We are hopeful that Oliver will make his grand entrance when I am home. My mother, mother-in-law and many other family members are in town awaiting his birth. We are very excited but nervous to be new parents. We are hopeful he will come in the next few days, but our due date is not until August 29th so he might wait until then. We will just have to wait and see.”
