Quoting Jason White:

What makes Michigan such a good track to race on?

“The width of the groove is something that really makes Michigan a good track to race on. It’s certainly not a one-groove track so you don’t have to follow someone around it which means as a driver, you have options. You can run down on the white line or up by the wall.”

“I feel good about going back to Michigan this year. We didn’t qualify as well as I would have liked last year, we started 16th, but I ran most of the race inside the top-10 and ended up finishing seventh. Michigan is a big, fast, smooth track with a lot of grooves. It’s a track where horsepower will play a key role so you need a lot of steam. PME (Pro Motor Engine) has done a great job with their engine package this year and I look forward to running well this weekend. A top-five finish this weekend would put us back on track, heading in the right direction, for a top-10 position in the championship points battle, and we need it.”
