KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Sept. 20, 2011) – Kansas Speedway fans have another reason to attend the Kansas Lottery 300 on Saturday, Oct. 8 – a post race concert by The Chris Weaver Band and Curb recording artists Tim Dugger and Rachel Holder.
“Our fans have consistently asked for an event that would keep them at Kansas Speedway even longer each day, and now they have one,” said Kansas Speedway President Patrick Warren. “Tim, Rachel and the Chris Weaver Band are all up and coming musicians and a concert following the Kansas Lottery 300 is the perfect way for them to bring their music to our fans. The concert should mark the end to a fantastic day.”
Holder is a Tennessee native, who is currently making the rounds at radio stations across the country. Holder’s videos are currently available on YouTube.
Dugger is no stranger to NASCAR, having performed at several tracks this season. The Alabama native’s video for his single “Sunday Drive” is available on YouTube, which includes Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Dillon.
The Chris Weaver Band, who’s first CD “Standing in Line” is available on iTunes, is currently in studio working on their second album. The band, who is currently touring throughout the country, counts among their fans NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Clint Bowyer.
Remaining 2011 events at Kansas Speedway include the Hollywood Casino 400 on Oct. 9, the Kansas Lottery 300 on Oct. 8 and the Kansas Lottery 98.9 on Oct. 7 and tickets for all events are on sale now by calling 866.460.RACE (7223) or by logging onto www.kansasspeedway.com.
