Dodge Post-Qualifying Quotes
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
BRAD KESELOWSKI (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 12th “It wasn’t a great lap for the Miller Lite Dodge. I hope we can get a top-15 starting spot out of it. I thought that we would have a little bit more to be honest. We weren’t very good in qualifying trim today, but the car has been really fast in race trim. I feel good about Sunday and that’s what is most important.”
YOU’RE JUST 14 POINTS FROM THE CO-LEADERS: “We’re in striking distance with the Miller Lite Dodge. We’re coming to some really strong tracks for us. We just have to be consistent, not make mistakes and keep bringing fast Miller Lite Dodge Chargers to the track every week.”
IS THE MINDSET FOR SUNDAY THAT OF A FUEL-MILEAGE RACE? “You just always have to race the competition like it’s going to come down to speed. You can’t rely on it being a fuel mileage race because too many things can happen. It’s still about fast race cars.”
KURT BUSCH (No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger R/T) Qualified 17th “It’s been a really up-and-down day for this Shell/Pennzoil Dodge team. We’ve been tight. We’ve been loose. We spent most of the first practice in qualifying trim and just haven’t been able to find that happy medium that the car likes.
“On my qualifying run, the front end just wouldn’t settle like it needed to. We scrubbed off too much speed. Tomorrow is a new day. We’ve got two more cracks at practice to try and dial the car in for Sunday.”
