[media-credit name=”mastercraftsafety.com” align=”alignright” width=”288″][/media-credit]Santee, Calif. (May 8, 2012) – MasterCraft Safety’s IMPACT “Racer” and the custom-styled one-piece driving suit have been approved by the Federation Internationale de I’Automobile (FIA), the company officially announced today.
The driving suits are made of 100 percent Nomex® (aramid) brand fibers that protect drivers from radiant heat transfer and direct flame exposure for a limited period of time. The proprietary design of the suit contains multiple layers of aramadic materials quilted together that provide the wearer with air pockets that can provide valuable seconds of flame protection.
All IMPACT by MasterCraft Safety suits provide maximum breathability, moisture wicking and exceptional flexibility and range of movement. The epaulettes are custom-designed with HANS® and similar style safety devices in mind, reducing overlap and bothersome pressure points on the shoulders. Featuring a heavy-duty zipper and a Velcro collar enclosure, the race suit is constructed with unrivaled craftsmanship.
“This is a big step forward as a company,” said Robbie Pierce, owner and CEO of MasterCraft Safety and the newly acquired brand, Impact. “As a racer and a customer of my own products, my commitment to safety is unparalleled. Our newly developed and homologated suit to the FIA standard is just the genesis of what’s in store for both brands and product lines.”
