BRISTOL, Tenn. – September 21, 2026 – Team Penske’s Joey Logano captured his third NASCAR Cup Series victory of the 2026 season Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway, winning the Bass Pro Shops Night Race and earning his 38th NASCAR Cup Series victory with Ford.
The victory marked the 113th NASCAR Cup Series win for Team Penske with Ford, Ford’s 755th win in NASCAR Cup Series competition, and made Joey the winningest NASCAR Cup Series driver in Team Penske history. Ford Racing teammates Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney and Ryan Preece have combined to win six of the last 10 races.

Qualifying for Saturday night’s race was canceled due to lightning and bad weather, with the starting lineup set by NASCAR’s performance-based metric. Logano started second, while Team Penske teammate Austin Cindric started ninth.
The Team Penske Ford Mustangs stayed on track during Lap 40 competition caution to maintain track position. As pit strategies varied during the first natural caution, Logano remained on the track and went on to win Stage 1. Ryan Blaney led a race-high 202 laps and finished Stage 1 in sixth position. Blaney restarted from the P1 to begin Stage 2 and went on to win the stage, earning valuable championship points.
During the final stage, a late caution on Lap 477 set up a dramatic finish. With six laps remaining, Logano moved past three cars battling for the lead and secured the victory at one of NASCAR’s most iconic short tracks.

Our cars have been good and have been getting better. Paul has been doing good. Joe’s been awesome. The pit crew has been good. I’ve got a great team. I thought there for a minute I was like, ‘OK, I might just finish third or fourth here tonight,’ and then they all kind of worked their way up and I was like, ‘Well, Merry Christmas to me.’ I got a gift there. There’s nothing like the Bristol Night Race. This is just the coolest experience as a race car driver being in front of all you fans down here, hearing everyone scream and cheer – sometimes boo, that’s alright. It’s pretty awesome.” commented Logano.
Wood Brothers Racing’s Josh Berry finished sixth, while RFK Racing’s Ryan Preece finished 10th at Bristol.
