Both the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) head to Kansas Speedway this weekend. The Craftsman Truck Series kicks off the weekend in the Race to Stop Suicide 200 on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on FS1. Then on Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 begins at 3 p.m. ET on the USA Network.
Founded in 2018, Race to Stop Suicide is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health awareness, and will serve as the entitlement partner for the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Chase race. It’s a powerful platform to raise mental health awareness, encourage meaningful conversations, and connect individuals and families with life-saving resources. Daniel and Randy Dye co-founded the nonprofit, which has become one of the most visible mental health advocacy initiatives in motorsports.
NASCAR Cup Series Notes for Kansas Speedway:
Kyle Larson became the third driver to lead the points standings this season following Bristol, and Joey Logano gained the most points to the leader at Bristol (35 points, +4 from 7th to 3rd).
Kansas held one Cup Series race from 2001-2010, two races every year since 2011, 42nd race at the track, and Kansas is one of four tracks to host a Chase race every year since its inception in 2004 (Talladega, Martinsville, Phoenix).
The pass for the win came in the final two laps in five of the last seven races, including four last-lap passes; five of the last nine races had a caution within the first eight laps; and four of the last six races ended in overtime, including the last two.
Kyle Larson (3 wins) and Tyler Reddick (2 wins) are the only repeat winners in the last 12 races at Kansas
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Notes for Kansas Speedway:
This is the 20th race of 2026, the second race of the Chase, and the race stages are laps 30, 60, and 134.
Seven drivers gained points on leader Layne Riggs. Kaden Honeycutt gained the most with 22, while Layne Riggs and Christian Eckes lost 18 points.
Christian Eckes (1) and Grant Enfinger (1) are the only winners entered this weekend.
