Paul Menard, No. 27 Serta/Menards Chevrolet was involved in an accident at the end of the first practice session. The team will go to a back-up car.
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE END OF PRACTICE?
“Something broke going into the turn and I hit the wall pretty good. We’re not really sure what it was yet, but we’ll take it back to the shop and figure it out. The No. 27 Serta/Menards team was on it. They already had the back-up car out and were getting it ready for final practice by the time I got back to the hauler. We tested with this car here (at Pocono Raceway) in June so between those notes and Happy Hour, we’ll be fine.”
