Sam Hornish Jr. (No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Dodge Charger R/T) Currently 7th YOU ARE RUNNING WELL UNDER GOOFY CIRCUMSTANCE TONIGHT. “Well I wish we were another 48 laps into it. Hopefully we’ll get out back out there and at least get to halfway. The car is really good. The Shell/Pennzoil Dodge is able to make some passes and move up a little bit and the car is really good right now. I hope we get to keep running it.”
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO TO GET CLOSER TO THE FRONT? “We need to rotate the center a little bit better and we need to be able to keep what we got at the beginning of a run a little bit longer. But I feel like we’re good at the beginning, we’re good at the end, it’s that little middle stretch isn’t as good as what we need. The thing we really need to do is make sure that we don’t tune ourselves out and try to make the car turn too much in the center and then not come off the corner.”
Brad Keselowski (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger R/T) Currently 16th WHAT IS THE SITUATION WITH THE CAR? “I don’t think our car is too bad. I really think it’s actually pretty strong. We just need to get some long runs to get ourselves back up to the front. We kind of had a weak start to the race but I don’t think the car is that bad. We just got to keep working on it, got to do a little bit better job and hopefully we’ll get 400 laps in. If we can get 400 laps in I’m confident we can work our way to the front.”
WE HAVE A BREAK IN THE RACE. WHAT ARE YOU TWEETING OUT TO THE FANS NOW? “Oh man I don’t want to ruin the surprise (smiles). It’s cool. I enjoy talking to people on Twitter and doing all that great stuff and hopefully while some people are down waiting for the rain to go away they’ll join up.”
