o Chevrolet has won 19 of 34 previous Sprint Unlimited races, the most of any other manufacturer.
o A total of eight (8) Chevrolet drivers have earned starting spots in the 2013 Sprint Unlimited. Starting positions were set by fan vote. Each driver earned his starting position based off the order in which the driver earned his pole award in 2012.
o Kasey Kahne, No. 5 Farmers Insurance Chevrolet SS, who earned the pole awards at Las Vegas, Martinsville, Talladega and Kansas in 2012 will start from the 3rd position
o Jeff Gordon, No. 24 Drive To End Hunger Chevrolet SS, who has 72 career Sprint Cup Series poles including first-place starting positions at Talladega and New Hampshire Motor Speedway in 2012 will roll off the starting grid from the 7th position
o Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 Lowe’s Yellow Chevrolet SS, will take the green flag from the 11th spot. He earned his spot in this year’s Sprint Unlimited after capturing pole awards at Kentucky, Chicagoland, Martinsville and Texas
o Juan Pablo Montoya, No. 42 Target Chevrolet SS, a two-time pole winner in 2012 (Pocono and Watkins Glen), will start from the 14th position
o Tony Stewart, No. 14 Mobil 1/Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet SS, a three-time Sprint Unlimited winner will take the green flag from the 15th position
o Dale Earnhardt Jr., No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet SS, the September 8th, Richmond International Speedway pole winner will start 16th
o Kevin Harvick, No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet SS, the 2009 and 2010 Sprint Unlimited winner will start 17th
o Kurt Busch, No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet SS, will roll off 18th for the 35th running of the Sprint Unlimited
o Team Chevy drivers starting the 2013 Sprint Unlimited have a combined total of 11 previous event wins:
o Stewart – 3 wins in 12 starts (’01, ’02, ’07)
o Gordon – 2 wins in 18 starts (’94, 97)
o Earnhardt, Jr. – 2 wins in 10 starts (’03, ’08)
o Harvick – 2 wins in 7 starts (’09, ’10)
o Johnson – 1 win in 9 starts (’05)
o Busch – 1 win in 9 starts (’11)
