DID YOU KNOW (Part 1)? … Kyle Petty registered the first win of his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series career at Richmond International Raceway on Feb. 23, 1986 driving for the Wood Brothers.

DID YOU KNOW (Part 2)? … Most people identify the Wood Brothers being associated with the No. 21, but they had the No. 7 on its Ford in 1986 when Kyle Petty won his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Richmond International Raceway because of then-sponsor 7-Eleven.

DID YOU KNOW? … When Carl Edwards won last year’s Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway he became the fifth different Roush Fenway driver to take car owner Jack Roush to victory lane. Mark Martin (1990), Jeff Burton (1998), Matt Kenseth (2002) and Kurt Busch (2005) are the others.

DID YOU KNOW? … Ford Racing has won 29 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Richmond International Raceway by 23 different drivers. There are seven men who have two wins apiece and they include: David Pearson (1968,’69), Bobby Allison (1979,’80), Ricky Rudd (1984, 2001), Davey Allison (1988,’93), Ernie Irvan (1994,’96), Rusty Wallace (1995,’97) and Dale Jarrett (1997,’99).

DID YOU KNOW? … Two father-son duos have won NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Richmond International Raceway in a Ford. Bobby and Davey Allison won two times each while Ned (1) and Dale Jarrett (2) combined to win on three occasions.
