Team Mopar Anxious For Season Opener

Bowmanville, ON.  May 13, 2014. New Cars, a new number and a Championship winning driver are just some of the changes that have taken place for Team Mopar during a hectic off season.  Beginning this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) Team Mopar looks to take that first step in a season of on-track success.

Two-time NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (NCATS) Champion Andrew Ranger will be behind the wheel of the #27 Mopar Parts Dodge looking for his third victory at the renowned 2.5 mile road course as the 2014 NCATS season begins on Sunday May 18th.

The new team is championship caliber in every way.  Race cars for the Roxton Pond, Quebec born Ranger are being prepared by two-time series champ DJ Kennington and DJK Racing and Crew Chief Bill Burns who worked with Ranger during his championship seasons will be charge at the track.

Last week at the Bowmanville, ON track Ranger had his first opportunity to get behind the wheel of his #27 Mopar Parts Dodge.  After encountering oil on the track and looping the car around the team decided to end the day early, but pronounced themselves 100% ready to open the season.

Action begins at CTMP on Saturday May 17th with practice and qualifying.  The race goes green at 1:30PM Sunday afternoon.
