ADVANCE NOTES
o Pocono Recap
o Starting from the 10th-spot, the Roush Fenway Racing driver fell victim to an ill-timed debris caution on lap 59 during green flag stops which set the No.99 Kellogg’s Ford Fusion back to 15th. Crew chief Jimmy Fennig set into play a fuel strategy for the remainder of the day which would have put Edwards in contention for a solid finish. Unfortunately, the car of Kasey Kahne blew up in front of him, leaving a trail of oil which Edwards could not avoid, sending him into the wall, and ending the day in the 41st-position.

Edwards on Michigan:
“Michigan is a special place for me. It is the sight of my first Cup race. We’ve won races there, it’s fast, it’s in Ford’s backyard and it would be a great place for us to lock up a Chase spot with a second win. I got caught up in that wreck last weekend at Pocono, it’s not what we wanted so hopefully Michigan will give us a chance to prove that we have gained a little bit of ground on our big track program.”
