EARNHARDT TACKLES KANSAS

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Jeffrey Earnhardt could use a little luck of the lottery in Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway.

Earnhardt, running his first full season in the Nationwide Series, will be racing at the 1.5-mile track for the first time.

“I think I know a lot about Kansas from seeing races there and talking to a lot of drivers,” Earnhardt said. “But, of course, there’s nothing like being on the track and experiencing the real thing. I’m looking forward to running there for the first time.”

Earnhardt is 18th in the series point standings with five races left in the season. After Kansas, Nationwide drivers run at Charlotte, Texas, Phoenix and Homestead-Miami, Fla.

Practice for Saturday’s race is scheduled at noon and 4 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for 12:15 p.m. Saturday, followed by the race at 3:30 p.m.
