Korbin Forrister and Tilted Kilt Set for Martinsville

MOORESVILLE, NC – March 25, 2015 – One year ago Korbin Forrister made his debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in the Kroger 250 at the Martinsville Speedway. Saturday he returns to the Virginia half-mile track with strong expectations for a good finish in his No. 08 Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery Chevrolet Silverado.

A solid start to the 2015 NCWTS season has Forrister sitting tenth in the standings following two events, giving the Cedartown, GA native optimism that he can run up-front in the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery Chevrolet each week. Korbin has a strong goal of a top-ten finish Saturday in the Kroger 250. “Martinsville was my first race in the trucks last year. It was tough, so I’m glad I raced it last year so now when we show up we can work on making the truck faster rather than spending the weekend just trying to learn the track like we did a few weeks ago at Atlanta.”

“We are bringing the same Chevrolet that Matt Tifft finished eighth with last, so I have good feeling about the truck. This year we have a better motor than I ran in the past so that should help us too. We are going with the same set-up they had last year so we should be pretty close when we get to the track.”

It’s been four weeks since the NCWTS last raced at Atlanta Motor Speedway; “I don’t like having time off during the racing season, but this time of year I guess I have to. I did a little fishing and some testing in my dirt late model to get it prepared for later in the year when I get the chance to run that.”

Forrister enjoys meeting the fans each week at the track and he will again be participating with the other drivers in the NCWTS 45-minute autograph session at 5:00 on Friday following the NCWTS “Happy Hour” practice, “I like meeting the fans and it creates good networking for the Tilted Kilt especially on their Facebook page and stuff, they have had a lot of social media activity, especially for the Daytona weekend. Last year Martinsville was pretty packed, I figure they will have a good crowd again this year.”

“I really want to thank Bobby (Dotter) and B.J. (McLeod) for putting everything together for me this year,” concluded Forrister. “I have really enjoyed working with B.J. and the whole team and I’m looking forward to a great weekend in Martinsville and running the rest of the year with these guys.”

The Kroger 250 is the 338th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team, a streak that dates back to 2001. There are 36 drivers on the entry list competing for 32 starting spots.

Practice for the Kroger 250 will be Friday, March 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., 1:30 p.m. to 2:25 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. to 4:25 p.m. On Saturday, March 28th qualifying will begin at 11:15 a.m. and the green flag will fly on the Kroger 250 at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time. The race will be shown live on FOX Sports 1 and will also be broadcast via the Motor Racing Network and on SIRIUSXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
