POOLE HOPES TO FIND THE FAST LANE IN TALLADEGA

Brennan Poole returns for the fourth of five consecutive races in the No. 42 DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway (TSS). In five XFINITY Series starts in 2015, Poole has one top-10 and four top-15 finishes, with an average start of 17.2 and average finish of 14.4. In two prior ARCA Racing Series superspeedway starts, including one at TSS, Poole has two top-10 finishes.

MEET BRENNAN

On Friday, May 1 from 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. CDT, Poole will sign autographs, along with several other XFINITY Series drivers, on the concourse area behind the OV Hill South Grandstand Sections D and E. Wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans will need to pick up wristbands before the session at the main Guest Services office located at the OV Hill South Grandstand Section L. Each fan that has a wristband will be guaranteed a spot in the autograph line.

RIDE WITH BRENNAN

Poole will once again carry the DC Solar on-board camera for Saturday’s 300-mile race. Tune into FOX for all the action from the Winn-Dixie 300.

A LOOK BACK ON RICHMOND

In what was his best starting position of his young XFINITY Series career, Poole started 10th after advancing through all three rounds of knockout qualifying. The 250-lap race was highlighted by several long green flag-runs. After Poole reported that he had a loose car in the center of the turns, the team made slight chassis adjustments to the car and continually improved the handling as the race went on. Just past the halfway point of the race, Poole raced his way up into the top 10. On the final restart, he settled in to finish 13th. This marked Poole’s fourth top-15 finish in five XFINITY Series starts.

BRENNAN POOLE ON TALLADEGA SUPERSPEEDWAY

“We’re coming off of a good weekend in Richmond, so I have a lot of confidence heading into Talladega (Superspeedway). I think we will unload off of the truck really well, and that’s really important at a superspeedway. It’s been a few years since I raced a superspeedway in the ARCA Series, but I am confident in my DC Solar team to have a great run his weekend.”

CREW CHIEF MIKE SHIPLETT ON TALLADEGA SUPERSPEEDWAY

“Talladega (Superspeedway) is always a chess match. There’s not a lot that we can do during the practice sessions to adjust on the car. How the car comes off of the truck, is pretty much what we will have. It will be important for Brennan to get out in a decent size pack of cars in practice and get used to the draft again. We had a solid race in Richmond, and hopefully that momentum will carry over to this weekend.”
